Post-Secondary Chapter Highlight: Boise State University
As we entered the new school year back in August, Post-Secondary President Alexis Black began work to affiliate universities and colleges around Idaho. With the help of student and HOSA member Delaney Walter-Horejs and others, we would like to officially welcome Boise State University HOSA into the IdaHOSA family as the newest affiliated post-secondary chapter of the 2024-25 school year!
With collaboration between Delaney as President, and Clinical Assistant Professor Camille Stover as Advisor, Boise State HOSA has already gained 45 members and continues to grow as the school year goes on. They have participated in recruitment events around campus and collaborated with other health-science clubs and organizations to spread the word about the exciting opportunity that HOSA holds for its post-secondary members.
The officer team has already hit the ground running with ways to fund their members travel fees for conferences and fundraise for the NMDP, as well as host swabbing events for the NMDP and hold blood drives with the American Red Cross.
Boise State HOSA is just one incredible example of the extraordinary work that our Post-Secondary chapters put into our organization, and Alexis is continuously working to affiliate more post-secondary chapters such as Idaho State University and The College of Idaho.
